The Cotillion's Green Initiatives

The world is becoming increasingly aware of the need to be more environmentally conscious and a significant trend towards going green is quite noticeable. This is not just the trendy thing to do, but it makes a very positive contribution to preserving natural resources and protecting the environment.

Here at The Cotillion, we are dedicated to delivering on the promise of being good neighbors with each other and the environment we share.

Several ways we have reduced our negative environmental impact are:

- Replaced all 10 commercial air conditioners with new energy efficient models and have in place a strategic schedule to cool/heat the building with low demand during peak times.

- Installed room heat pump AC's for daily use in the offices to maximize cooling and heating and minimize energy usage.

- All new efficient lighting in ballroom dome.

- Certified Green hand towels are used exclusively throughout the building.

- Foam hand soap -- uses less soap and less water to rinse -- used throughout the building.

- China, glass, and stainless used in house for staff and artists.

- We recycle/reuse paper, catalogs, and envelopes.

- We switched to email newsletters to reduce paper usage and carbon footprint.

- We use direct deposit for payroll to reduce paper usage.

- We use e-billing when available to reduce paper usage.

- Our ticket stock is multi use -- when the concert is over, use the $ saving coupon on the back.
