Tab Benoit is a Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist who has built a remarkable 30+ year career on the foundation of his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues, acquiring a devoted legion of fans along the way, as well as 5 Blues Music Awards, including BB King Entertainer of the Year (twice) and an induction into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. He has recorded and/or performed with Junior Wells, George Porter Jr, Dr. John, Willie Nelson, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Billy Joe Shaver, Maria Muldaur, James Cotton, Cyril Neville, Kenny Aronoff, Allen Toussaint, Kim Wilson, Jimmy Thackery, Charlie Musslewhite, Kenny Neal, Chris Layton, Ivan Neville, Jimmy Hall, Jim Lauderdale, Anders Osborne, and Alvin Youngblood Hart to name a few. Tab’s accomplishments as a musician are matched only by his devotion to the environmental health of his native Louisiana wetlands. Benoit is the founder and driving force behind Voice of the Wetlands, an organization working to preserve the coastal waters of his home state. In 2010, he received the Governor’s Award for Conservationist of the Year from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Benoit also starred in the iMax motion picture Hurricane on the Bayou, a documentary of Hurricane Katrina’s effects and a call to protect and restore the wetlands.

Sometimes the best feel-good music is born from pain. Country music’s rebellious sensation Creed Fisher knows it well, tracing his musical, and personal evolution back to a very unlikely, yet specific point of origin – a little blue house. No, it’s not a metaphor, but a real place, and one decorated by hard times and a few bad memories. “It’s starting from rock bottom,” he says of the symbolism. “That’s what the blue house represents in my mind.” While the ghosts of that dark period are something he’ll never forget, Fisher didn’t let his energy get trapped in the past, instead choosing to recognize, process and move forward. All of it served him well in overcoming life’s little kicks in the ass, and along the way, delivering albums full of asskicking good times and chart-topping hits. He does however credit those days for reigniting the creative fire within, and leading to a bold and unconventional career ascension. “That eight years was the beginning of my struggle; the beginning of my music.” The little blue house, traumatic as it was, had a purpose in the greater developing picture of the man and the music he creates. After his thirteen year marriage collapsed, then thirty-three year old Fisher had to start over. “I was poor as fuck,” he recalls, “but I bought the blue house in Odessa. It was shithole but it was mine.” Then things seemed to get even worse, perpetuated by self-sabotage. “I kept screwing up,” he admits.“Getting DWI’s, getting thrown in jail, being on probation for 18 months, all while I was in the blue house.” As if that weren’t enough to break one’s spirit – another stint in the slammer. “I refused to quit smoking weed and told my officer it was my medicine. But then I ended up back in jail.” Creed Fisher was battered, but certainly not broken. “I straightened out.” Influenced heavily by the wisdom of his grandfather and the musical tastes of his parents (from classic country to hard rock, George Straight to Ted Nugent), Creed Fisher’s childhood dream was to play music, but, as he asserts – “Life got in the way. I started writing songs just for therapy, to get things off my chest,” he says of the cathartic beginnings. “My music started in a dark place but it developed from there.” Reflecting on an unconventional entrance into the music business, he says “The odds were always against me.” From the get-go, Fisher’s maturity, attitude and a blue collar background didn’t parlay easily into a scene largely ruled by young people, where social networking protocol was the law.

Josh Ward Biography “All grit and no quit.” These are the deeply rooted words that Josh Ward lives by to an absolute fault. An anchored mindset that has led this Texas country music rising star from a drifter’s adolescence to the jeopardous game of the rodeo circuit to the punishing toil of the Texas oil fields, and on into the fickle arms of the music business. Some might argue whether it is having nine consecutive #1 hit singles in Texas under his belt that has garnered him staying power, or that he is killing it in the social media world with over 2 million views on YouTube and over 3 million streams globally on Spotify. Maybe it’s his 3 venerated album releases, or maybe because he can not only bat a full house on a 200 plus dates a year touring average, but also rope in crowds on a first time performance in an unfamiliar town. While impressive, all those distinctions can come and go in the world of music. The reason for his staying power turns out to be quite a simple one. Josh spent 2017 heavily touring off the strength of his previous album “Holding Me Together.” All six radio singles hit the #1 spot on the Texas Regional Radio Chart and Ward quickly found himself going from opening act to the headlining spot in a matter of months. But in the midst of his growing popularity, he gladly bent the knee to fellow country music artist and comrade Cody Johnson who introduced Ward to his West Coast audiences. Getting the chance to be endorsed by Cody Johnson and perform at sold out shows in brand new markets is the kind of opportunity music artists chomp at the bit to have. When Ward and his band returned to those areas a few months later all by their lonesome, he simply could not have guessed at the reception he would encounter. “When we went back to the West Coast by ourselves, it was sold out shows. I was literally blown away.” It was at that very point while far away from his familiar stomping grounds in Texas with new fans slapping him on the back that Ward knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that his music was catching on in a big way.

Formed in 1991 in Germantown, MD, Clutch features Neil Fallon (vocals), Tim Sult (guitar), Dan Maines (bass), and Jean-Paul Gaster (drums). The band built a local following through constant gigging. After releasing the classic 7” single “Pitchfork,” the band caught the attention of Earache Records. Earache released the legendary Passive Restraints EP. Shortly after the release of Passive Restraints, EastWest Records signed the band. Their debut LP, Transnational Speedway League… , followed in 1993. A self-titled album appeared two years later on Atlantic Records and afforded Clutch their first mainstream exposure, as the label released a trilogy of psychedelic-tinged singles, “Big News,” “Spacegrass,” and “Escape from the Prison Planet.” A lengthy and very successful North American tour with Marilyn Manson put an exclamation point on this early part of Clutch’s career. The band jumped to the larger Columbia label for 1998’s Elephant Riders . Clutch re-joined the Atlantic ranks in 2001 for their 4th studio album, the six-figure selling Pure Rock Fury. The band enjoyed their first Top 40 single, “Careful With That Mic.” A year later, however, the band was tortured with label problems, and it was three years before the sonically brilliant Blast Tyrant was released by indie label DRT Entertainment. In the meantime, the band had self-released the studio album Jam Room, and their first concert release Live at the Googleplex on their own River Road Records. These two pieces would eventually see the surface through Megaforce Records a few years later. The 36-month period from 2004 to 2007 saw heavy, non-stop touring of North America and England, mainland Europe, the Scandinavian territories, and Australia. The band was now in top playing shape and writing the most challenging material of their career. With a decade of experience behind them, Clutch was now passing or outlasting most of their mid/late 90’s contemporaries. Clutch’s 7th studio album, 2005’s Robot Hive/Exodus (DRT), produced by J. Robbins, was another breakthrough release, showcasing a diversity most rock bands could never dream of pulling off. 2007’s From Beale Street to Oblivion took off where RH/E’s final track “Gravel Road” left off. A hardened, simple blues approach with power took the former Germantown High School compatriots to the next level. The album’s lead single, “Electric Worry,” wasn’t just another successful Top 40 rock single, with its anthem-like chorus and high energy guitar jam/drum solo climax making it an instant Clutch classic.
